A TRIBUTE IN LOVING MEMORY OF JACK MOTLEY
Jack Motley loved the Kerrville Folk Festival and looked forward to returning to the Ranch year after year. He found joy in the simple gifts of this place: old friends, good song circles, easy laughter, and a well-earned nap in the shade at Camp on This.
Jack lived a life full of sharp wit, good humor, deep friendships, and generous spirit. He had many beloved friends in the campground and was deeply missed at the festival this year.
He also brought his imagination and love of play to Kerrville through Happyland, a children’s show he created and performed with his campmates and grandchildren at the 2021 and 2022 festivals.
In lieu of flowers, gifts made in Jack’s memory will help support the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation and the community he loved so dearly.
