VOLUNTEERING AT QUIET VALLEY HOMECOMING
Quiet Valley Homecoming is intentionally a much smaller, simpler event than the Kerrville Folk Festival, and we will not need our usual full complement of volunteers.
In fact, if you’re able, we encourage you to buy the $35 weekend ticket, come camp, relax, and enjoy yourself. That is very much the spirit of this weekend.
That said, we know there are some folks in this community who simply cannot gather at Quiet Valley Ranch without eventually asking, “What needs doing?” We know who you are!
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Quiet Valley Homecoming is essentially a zero-budget campout, which means many of the crews and operations you see during the Festival will not be running at all. There is no full stage lineup, so we will not need the usual sound, stage, performer hospitality, or production crews. The Staff Kitchen, Pavilion, and Kerrtry Store will not be open, and many other Festival-season operations will simply take the weekend off.
But whenever people gather, there are always a few things that need tending to. We may need a little help with things like:
- Trash and recycling
- Restroom cleaning and restocking
- Gate coverage
- General campground support
- Helping with occasional event activities or special projects
If you’d like to pitch in during the weekend, please reach out and let us know. We’ll keep a short list of willing helpers and match people with needs as they come up.
This is not a traditional volunteer commitment with full crews, shifts, and Festival benefits. It’s simply a chance for those who enjoy helping out to lend a hand here and there while still having plenty of time to enjoy the weekend.
