International touring artist Kamica King is a Texas-based singer-songwriter with a radiant stage presence and folk/soul sound informed by jazz, hip-hop, and her Afro-Caribbean roots. A U.S. Cultural Ambassador (U.S. Dept. of State) & Texas Touring Roster artist with global reach, Kamica authentically connects to the heart of the listener ushering in community and inspiration.

She has been featured by the Kennedy Center (Arts Across America), American Music Abroad, TEDx, NPR Tiny Desk Concert creator Bob Boilen, and abroad, touring in Zambia, South Africa, Trinidad, and Colombia.

Kamica is a driving force in bringing the transformative power of music to diverse communities, centering access and equity. In 2020, pairing her artistry with her Master’s degree and board certification in music therapy, Kamica launched Musically Me Unlimited, an arts-based empowerment initiative for youth, designed to build community and foster resilience. Her community arts/activism work has been recognized and supported by legendary folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary's Noel Paul Stookey, co-founder of Music to Life, and the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.

A National Endowment for the Arts sub-grantee (2023) and versatile artist with a knack for teaching, Kamica is a leading speaker and facilitator of artistic development workshops, masterclasses and community projects covering songwriting, performance technique, music entrepreneurship, and topics like music therapy and using music as a tool for health & social-emotional wellness.

Kamica holds an MA in Music/Music Therapy from Texas Woman's University, Music Therapy Equivalency from Southern Methodist University, and BA in Music (Voice) with minors in Psychology and Communications from Western Connecticut State University.
