Campers must display their stake at their space, whether they choose to mark it with a tarp on the ground or set up their campsite in their space. The campground gate opens at 4:00 p.m. 12:00 NOON on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
Only authorized Staff are allowed in the campground prior to the campground gate opening.
The QVR Shareholders & Kerrvivors Stake Pre-sale, previously scheduled for 2:00 p.m. will be at 10:30 a.m.
Electric permits are available for purchase on a first-come-first-serve basis beginning on Re-Settlement Day.
RV'ers with a reserved site for the Festival are not required to go through Land Rush but will be subject to a $25 per night (off-season) fee for EACH non-festival night their RV is used.
If it is your first time to come for the “Land Rush” on "Re-Settlement Day":
PLEASE LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME!
Beginning at noon on the Friday before Re-Settlement Day, vehicles may enter through the "South Gate" of the parking lot and park in the next available place in line. Most folks set up a tent or sleep in their vehicles Friday evening to await the opening of the campground gate the following day.
Landrush stakes are sold at the VIP hut across from the Office on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning leading up to the campground opening. Only campers who have purchased tickets for the first weekend or are registered Volunteers may purchase stakes. Please bring a printed ticket confirmation or volunteer application confirmation. Stakes are $5 per day up until the first day for which you are ticketed. (So, if you have a ticket for Day 1 -Thursday, May 26 if you purchase a stake on Friday or Saturday before Day 1, a stake will cost $25. If your first ticket is for Day 2 – Friday, May 27, a stake will cost $30.)
IF YOU ARE BRINGING IN A TRAILER OR A SLEEPER VEHICLE FOR USE DURING THE FESTIVAL, YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A "SLEEPER VEHICLE PERMIT" ($25) AND THE APPROPRIATE QUANTITY OF STAKES!
At 12:00 NOON on Saturday the horn will sound and vehicles will start entering the Campground in the order in which they were lined up in the parking lot. Campers may then find and claim a camping spot with a stake and a tarp, tent, trailer, or RV. Folks can either set up camp and stay, (campsite is paid with the display of the stake) or some folks may choose to put down a tarp with a stake in the ground and come back for the weekend.
There are a number of “established” campsites* throughout the Campground whose placement may take (reasonable) priority over others. We ask everyone to work together to keep Re-Settlement Day as fair and equitable as possible, while respecting the tradition and historical significance of these established camps.
*Just because a group has given themselves a camp name and been camping in the same spot for a few years DOES NOT make them an *established* camp. By “established” we mean those major music campsites that have been around for decades and are annual Festival fixtures.
