Have you always wanted to be able to play your favorite songs with the guitar that’s been sitting in your closet for the last 20 years?

By the end of the first day of this workshop, you’ll be able to:

  1. Play three chords

  2. Play one strumming pattern

  3. Slowly but surely, play a song.

Then you’ll be able to return for a second day to review what you’ve learned and add a few more chords and a song to your brand new guitar playing tool box.

Janet has been teaching music to people of all ages since the 1980s and so has decades of anecdotal evidence that everyone who wants to, can learn how to play the guitar.

Even you.

Registration includes:

  1. Four hours of in-person instruction

  2. Access to 6 weeks of video guitar lessons to help continue your guitar playing journey

  3. A 1 hour online follow up session

Think you have to be from the special talented planet in order to learn? Click here for a free video lesson and find out for yourself that you can do it.  Then get psyched and sign up for the workshop.

Hosted by Master Teacher, Innovative Performer and Accomplished Guitarist Janet Feld, these workshops are for players of all skill levels and are geared toward giving you the tools to play more confidently around the campgrounds. Whether you are a beginner or a have been playing for years there is something for you to learn from Janet's Classes.

"Janet is a highly skilled guitarist as well as a kind and compassionate teacher.  She'll challenge you and you'll be better for it."  - Jon Ims

“Whatever level your guitar playing is at, Janet Feld can teach you and take you far beyond where you ever thought you’d go…. and she’ll do it with love.”- Steve Seskin

“I think you are a revelation — such an excellent writer and performer AND you can teach.  Your lucky students!” - Christine Lavin

"When world events made in-person guitar classes impossible, Janet didn't miss a beat to make the best of virtual instruction. I continue going back to Janet because I know she is incredibly talented and yet I can feel her excitement through the screen when she teaches the fundamentals of guitar. She shares her wealth of knowledge in her own unique, unpretentious way, and persists until I understand technique and the music. She is down to earth, incredibly comfortable in her skin, and full of joy. I am grateful to have studied with her." - Eric K.

A Message from Janet Feld
Hey Kerrverts 😃

So here's the thing: if you come to one of my workshops at The Kerrville Folk Festival, the worst thing that will happen is that your playing will sound like........ you're learning. My friend Ksenia Mack always tells her students, "Don't worry, you'll never sound this bad again." LOL

You have great taste in music and know what excellent guitar playing sounds like, so it's clear when you don't sound like that yet. For many of us, that keeps us from ever getting started playing or from continuing to learn. One of things I've heard from students over the years is that they really appreciate learning in a group setting because when they make mistakes, they're drowned out by the rest of the class. I've heard this from people who are beginners, but also from more advanced students.

If you're like many of my students, you don't want a professional career in music but you'd like to be good at it. So which would you rather deal with: creating a cacophony of guitar sound with your classmates while having a blast or spending another year wishing you could play?

If making a lot of guitar noise in a warm, fun atmosphere sounds as good to you as your idea of the perfect main-stage lineup, click above to register for one of my classes at the Kerrville Folk Festival.
