Friday 4.5.24: Foundation Member tickets valid. Ticket booth is open 8a.m. - 12 midnight. Evening music at Threadgill Theater.

Monday 4.8.24: Ticket Booth open 8a.m. - 12noon. Evening music (Theater TBD)

Tuesday 4.9.24: Festival ends at noon. Optional Tuesday night camping available (Tuesday ticket to be sold later).

Can I just pay to park in the parking lot and not buy a festival ticket?

No. You must have admission to the Kerrclipse Music Festival to obtain a vehicle permit. Paid vehicle permits are required for every vehicle on the property and towing will be enforced.

Will there be music?

YES!  We have plans to present music at Threadgill Theater on Friday evening, and then Kennedy Outdoor Theater on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We are working on the lineup and schedule and will publish it as soon as possible.

Will there be food & beverages available?

YES!  We will have at least 2-3 food trucks in the campground and a handful of food vendors at the Kennedy Theater Pavilion. The Kennedy Theater Pavilion will have extended open hours (beyond when music is presented). As soon as we can provide more details about food and beverage varieties, we will publish them on the Kerrclipse Camping page

Is your festival family friendly? / Can I bring my children?

ABSOLUTELY! Our festivals are great for kids. Kids under 5 years old are free with a ticket-holding adult; kids 5 - 11 years old must have a ticket (but they are heavily discounted), and there are special half-price teen tickets available at the gate (see here for more info).  Please be sure that children are responsibly supervised at all times.

Can I bring my pet?

No. No pets allowed on Quiet Valley Ranch during any festival.  (Just imagine the chaos and mess!?)

How big is the campground?

The Quiet Valley Ranch campground area is about 20 acres. (The whole ranch is about 50 acres.)

Can I come in & out of the campground?

Your valid Kerrclipse wristband will let you walk in and out of the campground gate as you want. Vehicles require a paid permit to be inside the campground (see Camping Info page.)

Is there public transportation around the campground?

We plan to provide two complimentary "Kerrtesy Carts" to help folks get to and from the parking lots and around the campground. Kerrtesy Carts will continuously pick up and drop off folks at convenient locations around the campground, but one of the carts will be designated a "Mobility Assistance Cart" that will help with specific transportation needs from mobility-challenged folks who request it.  Those with mobility challenges who would like special assistance with golf cart transportation around the Ranch may call Ranch Central to make a request (830)285-2958.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Most places around the Kerrclipse Music Festival will accept both credit cards and cash. Credit cards are the preferred method of payment anywhere at the Kerrclipse Music Festival EXCEPT for TEMPORARY UNLOADING PERMITS at the MIXMASTER CAMPGROUND GATE (more info here).

The other exception is that cash is not directly accepted for food and beverages inside Kennedy Outdoor Theater, but must first be exchanged for Food & Beverage Tickets (at the F&B Booth) and the F&B Tickets may then be used at food vendor booths inside Kennedy Theater.

Is there an ATM?

We plan to have one ATM available, but funds will be limited, so please plan ahead by stopping at an ATM prior to your arrival to the Kerrclipse Music Festival. The only circumstance where you absolutely need cash at the festival is for a 2-hr. Campground Unloading Permit at the MixMaster campground entrance station. (And you will get it back when you drive your vehicle out of the campground in 2hrs.)  Cards are preferred everywhere else at the festival.

Is there WIFI?

We offer complimentary public Wi-Fi in most (but not all) areas around the festival grounds. Most cell phones have service around the Ranch. There are a few public charging stations that get a wifi signal. PLEASE be aware that with large groups of people all trying to access the wifi at the same time, it could spontaneously combust or just be super slow... we'll see : )

May I bring a cooler into the theater?

NO ice chests, bottles or cans are allowed in Kennedy Outdoor Theater.  No alcoholic beverages in containers or coolers may be carried into the Threadgill Theater area (beyond the barricades or from the side or back of the theater). Reusable cups are allowed.

How do I get on the mailing list?

Sign up for our e-newsletters here!  (We don't share your email address with anyone and we send out about 1 email per month and probably a couple extra if it is the month of an event.)

Where is the Lost & Found?

Lost and Found is located at Ranch Central just inside the campground gate. They can be reached at (830)285-2958.

TICKETS

Are tickets still available? Will they sell out?

Yes. Tickets may be purchased here. There are plenty of tickets as of November, but they are limited, so don't wait!

Are camping and parking included with tickets?

Campground access is included with all ticket purchases. Vehicle parking permits are separate from Kerrclipse Festival admission and are not automatically included with a festival ticket purchase. Vehicle parking may be part of a ticket package you can purchase or it can purchased separately on the Kerrclipse ticketing page. More information about Parking can be found here.

Foundation Membership tickets vs. Non-Member tickets, what's the deal?

Friday, April 5th is Foundation Member Appreciation Day!  Folks with a current membership to the KFF Foundation may purchase a Foundation Membership Kerrclipse Festival Ticket that allows festival entry beginning 9am Friday, April 5, 2024. Sometime later and before next April, it will allow these ticket purchasers the option of adding a Thursday early entry ticket (when those go on sale).  General Non-Member Kerrclipse Festival Tickets allow for festival entry beginning 9am Saturday, April 6, 2024.  Click here for more information about the KFF Foundation and about becoming a Foundation Member

Must everyone who arrives Thursday or Friday be a Foundation Member?

The purchaser of the Fdn. Member Kerrclipse tickets must be a current member of the KFF Foundation both when the tickets are purchased and when they are redeemed. It is not necessary for everyone who receives a ticket from this member to also be a member of the Foundation; just the purchaser must be a member.

Do you offer any discounts on tickets?

We offer discounts on tickets during our early bird presale and advance sale periods. These are priced at the lowest cost we can afford to offer as we plan to cover all of our expenses to throw the event and keep the festival operations running.

Are Teen Tickets really half price?

Yes! Ticket-holding adults may purchase tickets for their teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 for half the cost of the ticket price at the gate. No one under the age of 18 can be admitted without a parent or guardian, and minors should not be left on the ranch without an adult at any time for any reason.

What if an artist cancels? Can I get a refund?

Welcome Home Fest is an experience which offers multiple artists for you to enjoy, and we strive to give you the best experience. For this reason, we are not able to provide refunds based on any cancellation of a single artist.

It’s raining; can I have a refund?

This is a rain or shine event; there are no refunds or exchanges due to weather. Bring rain gear and galoshes and hopefully you won't have to use them!

I have tickets but can no longer attend, what are my options?

Due to the intricacies of festival logistics, budget planning, and advance booking contracts, we are not able to offer refunds.

You may give the ticket to someone else to use:

  • It does not have to be "in their name" if they present the QR code at the gate (either printed copy or mobile image).

  • If a ticket will be obtained using "will call" and is looked up by last name at the gate, the purchaser name on the ticket must match the valid state ID of the person trying to use the ticket.

If the ticket will otherwise go unused, you can email tickets@kerrvillefolkfestival.org and if there is an opportunity to gift it to an underprivileged person, we will be glad to help : )

How do I get my wristband?

You may exchange your Kerrclipse ticket for a wristband at the Main Ticket Booth (near the main festival entrance) during the open hours of Thursday 10a.m. - 10p.m., Friday - Sunday 8am - 12am midnight; Monday 8a - 12 noon.

Camp w tix?

CAMPING

Is camping included with tickets?

Yes. Tent camping in the festival campground is included with a Kerrclipse Music Festival ticket and folks with valid festival wristbands may come in and out of the campground gate. Axled rigs including all vehicles, trailers, RVs, motorcycles, golf carts, etc., require a permit to be in the campground. More information about vehicle permits here.

Can I come in & out of the campground?

Your valid Kerrclipse wristband will let you walk in and out of the campground gate as you want. Vehicles require a paid permit to be inside the campground (see Camping Info page.)

Is there electricity & water available?

Yes. Complimentary electricity and water hookups scattered around the campground are included with admission and are available on a first come, first served basis with extremely limited availability for air conditioners. Please bring a hose splitter so everyone can enjoy water. More information about campground electricity can be found here.

Is there drinking water?

Yes! Quiet Valley Ranch has two R.O. filtered drinking water stations with plans to install one more before Kerrclipse. They are located near the bathrooms at Threadgill Theater, on the side of the Kerrtry Store and at Ranch Central near the campground gate.

Are there showers?

Yes! Complimentary hot showers are available in the middle of the campground, with limited availability at the Kennedy Pavilion and the backstage Staff Bathroom facility.

I don't have camping gear, can I rent a tent? Is there glamping?

Yes!  For those who are flying in or just don't want to bring camping equipment, there is a hassle-free camping opportunity through a private company who will ensure you are set up upon arrival! Check out the "Glamping" section of our Kerrvclipse camping page for more information.

How do I get into the festival?

You will need a valid wristband to enter the festival and campground, available at the Main Ticket Booth. To drive to the Main Ticket Booth, as long as you are not in a large RV, use the first festival entrance (if you are coming from the city of Kerrville, it is a dirt road on the right, look for signs.)  Large RV's (with or without an RV reservation) should use the second festival entrance (big white stone gates, look for signs) and pull straight forward to the campground entrance station -the MixMaster. Reserved RVers will have credentials waiting for them at MixMaster. Non-reserved RVers will need to present their ticket at that time.

How do I unload stuff in the campground?

After you obtain a wristband at the Main Tickets Booth (use the first festival "Tickets Road" entrance if you aren't a big RV), turn right towards Mix-Master (campground entrance station) to obtain a temporary unloading permit ($100 deposit, cash only). A temporary unloading permit allows a vehicle to be in the campground for 2 hours.  In order to get your $100 back, make sure to bring your car back out through the Mix-Master within 2 hours and park in one of the parking lots.

Can I sleep in my vehicle and/or park my vehicle next to my camp?

Sleeping in vehicles in the parking lot is prohibited. In order to park a vehicle inside the campground for more than 2 hours, your vehicle must have a Car Camping/Sleeper Vehicle permit. Car Camping/Sleeper Vehicle permits are valid for the whole festivaland are available on the Kerrclipse Ticket page. They are $160 for axled vehicles under 18' and $200 for axled rigs over 18'.

Are campfires allowed?

If there is not a burn ban for Precint 1 of Kerr County, then contained campfires are allowed. Please read more about campfires here.

I don't want to camp, where can I stay nearby?

There are a variety of hotels, motels, vacation rentals and RV parks nearby Quiet Valley Ranch. An online search for "Kerrville vacation rentals" will offer many options, and the Kerrville Convention & Visitors Bureau offers a comprehensive list for the city of Kerrville here. There are other places to stay outside of the city with one of the closer options being Medina Highpoint Resort

Can I go visit a friend in the campgrounds without buying a ticket or wristband?

No. You must be wearing a valid Kerrclipse Music Festival wristband to enter the festival or campground.

RVs

I am interested in a reserved RV site, do you have availability and how do I make a reservation?

There are 91 RV sites at Quiet Valley Ranch available for rent during festivals. 58 of these sites are in the Main RV Section and offer water + electricity + sewer connections.  The Main RV area is typically for larger Class A or Class C rigs and offers 30A service, with a limited number of sites offering 50A electric service. The other 33 RV sites are in the Meadow RV area (for shorter rigs, mostly 25' and under) and have water + 30A electricity connections. Wastewater tank pump-out service is available for $100/pump; sign up & pay at the Festival Office.

Friday - Monday night in the Main RV Section is $500.

Friday - Monday night in the Meadow RV Section $400.

Thursday & Tuesday nights on either side of the Kerrclipse festival are $50/night; contact the Festival Office to arrange for additional nights.

NO GENERATORS in the campground.

All reserved RV sites offer an optional $40 Tow Vehicle Permit that allows ONE vehicle to park INSIDE your site provided it FITS WITHIN THE LINES OF YOUR SITE. Tow vehicles cannot block the roadway and will be subject to towing at the owner's expense if not properly parked.

Advance reservations are required for all RV sites. RV site reservation fees DO NOT include festival tickets.

If you would like to be placed on an RV waiting list, please sign up on the Kerrclipse Ticketing site.

Please email rvs@kerrvillefolkfestival.org or call the festival office at (830) 257-3600 for more information.

I have an RV site reservation, where do I go when I get there?

Make sure you have tickets!  Upon arrival, please skip the first festival entrance (the small dirt "Tickets Road") and use the SECOND main festival entrance (big white stone gates with KFF sign) and pull straight forward to the campground entrance station with the Welcome Home sign -known as MixMaster. Mix-Master volunteers in red shirts will have an RV site envelope with your name and credentials inside, including your festival wristbands, important RV site information and a map of where your site is in the campground.

Do I need an RV site reservation for electricity and water hookups?

There are several risers throughout the campground that provide access to 110V electrical outlets and a water spigot.  These hook-ups are complimentary with Kerrclipse admission, NOT RESERVABLE and are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Although you are allowed to park an RV in the campground (with a valid Campground Parking/Sleeper Vehicle Permit), camping and driving space can get tight and you may regret driving a large RV into the campground without scoping the scene first. If you are hoping to park a "sizeable" RV in the campground after Friday, do yourself a favor by FIRST turning into B-Lot parking (just across the street from main festival entrance) using the THIRD Festival entrance on the SOUTH side of the road (coming from Kerrville, it's on the left side). Park there temporarily, walk across the street to the Tickets Booth to obtain your festival wristband, and then walk into the campgrounds to see if you can find a space to park your RV.  (If you can't, aren't you glad you didn't drive in?  Ask a Safety Volunteer in a red shirt about where best to park your rig.)

Extension cords of 50' max may be used to run low amperage devices and appliances.  NO cord splitting or outlet sharing.  Users must be within 50' of the outlet they are plugged into. Air conditioners may only be used with the very limited high-amperage (30A) outlets. IF YOU PLUG AN RV INTO a regular 110V outlet and trip the breaker because you are drawing too much electricity, you will be asked to unplug.

Is there a maximum length for RVs in the campground?

Not exactly, but there is extremely limited space for large RVs in the campground, outside of a reserved RV site. See the answer above about how to manage a large RV without a reserved RV site.

I can’t find a place to park my RV in the campground…

If you do not find enough space to park your RV in the campgrounds, you are welcome to park in B-Lot parking. Unlike the main campground, generators are allowed in overflow parking. Parties are NOT. For respect of the neighbors, the B-Lot parking lot is considered a quiet area. Please keep the party in the campground.

Can I keep my dog/cat/whatever pet in my RV? Is that allowed?

No. No pets allowed on the Ranch during the Festival.  While pets are allowed on a leash during the rest of the year, they are not allowed in the campground during festivals. Just imagine the chaos and mess!?

GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL

How do I get to the Festival?

Festivals are held at Quiet Valley Ranch, which is located about 9 miles south of the town of Kerrville. 3876 Medina Hwy, Kerrville, Texas 78028. For complete directions to the festival, see the Maps & Directions page.

I would like to carpool, how do I find rideshares?

The best way is to reach out to the KFF community about rides is through Facebook, specifically the FB group "Kerrverts Ride Share". Other KFF Facebook groups include: Kerrverts Far & Wide, Central Texas Kerrverts, and there's many more.

Which entrance should I use?

UNLESS YOU ARE IN A LARGE RV, if you are a ticket holder and need a wristband or need to purchase tickets, use the first festival entrance "Tickets Road" (dirt road on the right if you are coming from the city of Kerrville).  If you already have a wristband, or if you are in a large RV, or if you are a volunteer, guest, or artist, go past the first Tickets Road entrance, use the second (main) entrance through the big stone gates with the KFF sign. Volunteers, performers, other VIP turn left; large RV's pull straight forward to the campground entrance station known as MixMaster (with the Welcome Home sign).

Where do I get my wristband?

If you are a ticket holder, our Ticket Booth box office will scan your ticket and give you a wristband. (You may show your ticket on printed paper, on your mobile device, or the Ticket Booth can look up your ticket by name, but your valid ID must match the ticket name.)  The Ticket Booth also has a walk-up window (in case you are not able to use the first entrance "Tickets Road" to drive up). If you are a performer, media, or other VIP, park along the fence next to the Festival Office and check in at the Performer/VIP station across from the Festival Office. If you are a volunteer, proceed to the temporary parking area of the parking lot so you can check in at Staff Central for your wristband.

When can I arrive?

Ticket-buyers with a Thursday Early Arrival ticket may show up as early as 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Thursday Early Arrival tickets will become available at a later date for those who hold or purchase Foundation Membership Ticket which includes Friday entry.  The Ticket Booth is open Thursday 10a.m. - 10p.m., Friday - Sunday 8am - 12a.m.; Monday 8a -12noon.     During the festival, campground gates are open 24hrs to those wearing valid wristbands. If you arrive when the ticket booth is closed, the Mix Master (campground entrance station) folks can arrange for the Late Arrival Crew to meet you at the gate. This process can be slow, please arrive with plenty of patience, or arrive while the ticket booth is open. Alternatively you can call ahead to the Festival Office (830)257-3600 and try to arrange for your wristbands to be waiting at the campground gate.

When do I have to leave?

The roads are going to be clogged during and after Monday's eclipse, so just plan to join us for great music on Monday night!  Kerrclipse Festival wristbands are valid until 12p.m. noon on Tuesday, April 9, after which you may opt to camp another night. Tuesday camping is $10 per person and will become available as we draw closer to the event. It will also be an option on-site time-of (i.e. if you are still in the campground after 12pm noon on Tuesday, you can expect someone to come collect $10 from you and give you a Tuesday wristband.)

I might be arriving late, can I still get in?

During the festival, campground gates are open 24hrs to those wearing valid wristbands. The Ticket Booth is open Thursday 10a.m. - 10p.m., Friday - Sunday 8am - 12a.m.; Monday 8a - 12noon.

PARKING

Do I have to pay to park?

Yes. Every vehicle and axled rig must have some sort of paid parking permit. A Parking Lot Permit for a single vehicle is $40 for the weekend. Read here to learn more about how to unload in the campground. A single Campground Parking/Sleeper Vehicle Permit is $160-$200 for the weekend, learn more about parking in the campground here. Reserved RV sites have an optional Tow Vehicle Permit, more information RV site Tow Vehicle Permits can be found here. Volunteer parking details TBD.

I want to park my vehicle next to my camp…

Please read all about campground parking here.

I am mobility-impaired with handicapped tags, where can I park?

In order to offer adequate camping space for everyone and to minimize dust from traffic, we discourage vehicles in the campground.  If you want to park your car in the campground, you may purchase a Campground Parking/Sleeper Vehicle Permit for the weekend. Campground Parking/Sleeper Vehicle Permits are available on the Kerrclipse Tickets page, and if there is still availability, they may be purchased at the main Tickets Booth.

There are several dedicated handicapped parking spaces in the center of the main A-Lot parking lot, adjacent to the Kerrtesy Cart transportation "bus stop". Handicapped tags or plates are required to park in this area. Kerrtesy Carts transport folks to/from the parking lot throughout the campground all day and many hours into the night.

There will be two complimentary "Kerrtesy Carts" to help folks get to and from the parking lots and around the campground. Kerrtesy Carts will continuously pick up and drop off folks at convenient locations around the campground, but one of the carts will be designated a "Mobility Assistance Cart" that will support specific transportation needs from mobility-challenged folks who request it.  Those with mobility challenges who would like special assistance with golf cart transportation around the Ranch may call Ranch Central to make a request (830)285-2958.

GOLF CARTS & CAMPGROUND TRANSPORTATION

Do you have campground transportation? / What is a Kerrtesy Cart?

There will be two complimentary "Kerrtesy Carts" to help folks get to and from the parking lots and around the campground. Kerrtesy Carts will continuously pick up and drop off folks at convenient locations around the campground, but one of the carts will be designated a "Mobility Assistance Cart" that will help specific transportation needs from mobility-challenged folks who request it.  Those with mobility challenges who would like special assistance with golf cart transportation around the Ranch may call Ranch Central to make a request (830)285-2958.

Can I bring my own golf cart?

You are welcome to bring your own golf cart to the festival (electric carts are preferred due to noise). If you tow it on a separate trailer, you will need to also pay for a parking space for that trailer and for the cart to be in the campground, you will need to purchase  a small vehicle permit on the Kerrclipse Ticket Page.***
***New starting in 2024, all small transport vehicles around the campground will require a small vehicle permit. This includes golf carts, mules, 4-wheelers, motorcyles, etc.  (If you are adding to the dust, we also need you to help mitigate it.) This does not include bicycles. Small Vehicle Permits are available for $40 on the Kerrclipse Tickets page. If you find yourself in need of a Small Vehicle Permit while onsite, they are available at the main Tickets Booth.

Can I rent a golf cart through the Festival and have it delivered?

If you are feeling lucky and want to call or email the Festival Office to see if thats a possibility, you are welcome to ask. The festival reserves a block of carts for operations and safety, but could possibly have or reserve a few extra. Please email info@kerrvillefolkfestival.org to inquire about renting a golf cart through the Festival.

I am mobility impaired with handicapped tags, what should I expect?

In order to offer adequate camping space for everyone and to minimize dust from traffic, we discourage vehicles in the campground.  If you want to park your car in the campground, you may purchase a Campground Parking/Sleeper Vehicle Permit for the weekend.

Where do I go when I get there?

You must have a valid wristband to enter the festival campground. Check in at Staff Central on the side of the barn with the big Welcome Home mural.  After obtaining a wristband, if you wish to unload in the campground, drive out the far end of the parking lot, back up the highway and back in through the main Festival entrance (big white stone gates with KFF sign) and pull ahead to the campground entrance station known as MixMaster. There, you can put down a $100 cash deposit for an unloading permit that will allow your vehicle to be parked in the campground for 2 hours.  In order to retrieve your $100 deposit, within 2 hours you must bring your vehicle out of the campground (don't forget to stop at Mix-Master!) and then go park in one of the parking lots.
